Vulcan Lodge Holiday Cottages have been created by the imaginative conversion of an 18th century inn. The conversion has been sensitively undertaken to preserve and enhance the best features of the old inn while offering all of the luxury fittings and facilities the discerning visitor of today has come to expect. Spacious, full of character and with a high specification which brings luxury and style, these holiday cottages can be booked singly or together for larger groups - total capacity 20+.
If you're looking for a holiday cottage which is remote and off the beaten track then the Vulcan Lodge is not for you. But if you're looking for a touch of luxury with easy access to the A470, Sustrans cycle routes, the River Wye (it's on the doorstep), the Wye Valley Walk, the Red Kite Centre, the facilities of a shop, post office and cafe nearby - and all set in the beauty of the Upper Wye Valley, then Vulcan Lodge Holiday Cottages are for you.
Bookings are Friday to Friday for a 7 night stay, Monday to Friday for a 4 night stay and Friday to Monday for a 3 night stay. At quiet times it may be possible to vary the arrival days. Pets: please contact Elaine on 07902 856205.

On the right 3.5 miles south of Rhayader and on the left 10 miles north of Builth Wells. If you are using Satnav it will tell you to turn of the A470. Don't do this as Vulcan Lodge is visible when you're on the A470. You will see a grassed area with picnic tables behind which is a slip road which runs in front of the building. There is intermittent traffic during the day but very little after 6.00 pm.
